New outbreak of bird flu in Denmark

14th of September 2022: Detection of infection with Influenza A virus of high pathogenicity (H5N1) in a German establishment near the Danish boarder
On September 13th 2022, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been confirmed in a German holding with domestic birds, located in Germany less than 10 km from the Danish Boarder.
The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration has established a surveillance zone, covering the parts of Denmark in a radius of 10 km from the German outbreak.
